Ingredients

For mango mousse
2 cups Fresh mango puree
1/2 cup Milk
1 cup Whipped cream
1 tsp Veg gelatin
For White chocolate Ganache
450 grams White chocolate, finely chopped.
2oo ml Fresh cream
Chocoalte shavings for garnish

This melt in mouth Mango mousse is served with creamy and luscious white chocolate ganache and topped with chocolate shavings and a dollop of fresh cream. This dessert is seductively good and tempting enough to satiate your sweet tooth cravings. When you dig in to the first bite you know it is pure dessert heaven and worth every bite. One of the quintessential dessert this season!!

The sight…smell and sound of Alphonso mangoes are very familiar and nostalgic that it keeps all the childhood memories alive. It’s one of the gorgeous fruit and oh so  versatile. Experimenting with different dessert combinations using mangoes excites me. This dessert I had made a while ago as part of my routine experiments. It was so yum and delicious that hubby dear and my younger daughter finished it off in no time. I hardly got time to style and click pics leave alone tasting. Somehow managed it to do.

The past few days have been very hectic. I have worked like crazy and toiled a lot.  My week was quite an interesting one..tiring thoh!! Well life is all about exploring, trying and learning new things. You continue what you love to do and leave the other things that does not interests you. But there is no harm in trying it out!! Same rules applies to cooking also. Try new and innovative recipes ..relish the ones that turns out to be good…simple!!

For Mango mousse:-

Mix the mango puree and milk and keep it aside.
Stir in vanilla essence at this point (if you are using).
Add 1 tbsp. water to set gelatin and heat it in a microwave or double bowl.
Strain and add the dissolved gelatin in it so no lumps are formed
Add the whipped cream and blend all the ingredients with a beater till it gets a smooth consistency say for a minute. Do not over beat it.
Pour it in individual mousse glasses and set in a refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

For white chocolate ganache:-

Place the chopped white chocolate into a medium size microwave safe mixing bowl. Set aside while you heat the cream.
Heat the cream in a small saucepan until just boiling.
Pour the cream over the chocolate and leave to stand for two minutes. This will give the chocolate time to soften. Once the chocolate melts in the cream stir it gently until smooth in consistency. Keep this white chocolate aside in a bowl.:-
Just in case if all the white chocolate has not melted then place the bowl in the microwave and heat for 30 seconds. Remove and stir until smooth.

How to assemble:-

Remove the mousse glassed from the fridge and top it up with creamy white chocolate ganache and then top it with dark chocolate shavings and finally with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.
