Italian Corn Cheese Crostini is a perfect appetizer that will vanish in no time. Corn Cheese is a classic combination and one cannot go wrong with this combination. It tastes very delicious and also looks good when served.
1loaf French breador Garlic bread loaf cut into ½” thick slices
½tsppepper
¼tsporegano
2tbspoil
2tbspboiled corn
1cuppizza sauce
GARLIC BUTTER
3tbspsoftened butter
½tspminced garlic – crushed
a pinch of salt
¼tspfreshly crushed pepper
TOPPING
½cupgrated cheese preferably parmesan or mozzarellaoptional
2tbspolive oil or melted butter
1cupfreshly torn basil leaves.
Instructions
Heat oil. Now add pizza sauce, saute it for few seconds and add corn, salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook for about 2 mins. Remove from the heat.
Prepare garlic butter by mixing softened butter with garlic, salt, and pepper.
Cut French loaf or garlic bread diagonally into ½” thick slices. On each slice spread some garlic butter.
Arrange the corn mixture on it. Cover with grated cheese. Spoon a little olive oil or melted butter on top of the cheese and add freshly torn basil leaves.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC/350ºF for 10 minutes or till the base of the bread turns crisp and the cheese melts and, serve it hot.
