Recipe of Paneer Mutter Pulav

Paneer Peas Pulav is a one-pot rice dish made that is flavorful and delicious. It is prepared in ghee with deep-fried paneer and boiled green peas. This Pulav is a tempting variation of our regular Pulav. It is filling and makes a hearty meal when served with curds and papads. This recipe is very convenient for bachelors as it is very easy and simple to follow.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Boiled and cooled Long Basmati rice
  • 1 cup Paneer cubes
  • 1 cup Boiled peas
  • ½ cup Fried onions slices
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeera
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Boil basmati rice and keep it aside in a bowl.
  • Let it cool down at room temperature.
  • Boil 2 cups of water in a pan and salt in it.
  • Add green peas and let it boil for 7-8 minutes till green peas are soft.
  • Make small cubes of paneer and keep it aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp Ghee in a nonstick pan and fry paneer cubes in it.
  • Add salt and fry for 2 minutes till they are crisp and brown.
  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a broad vessel and add cumin seeds in it.
  • Once they crackle add paneer cubes and boiled peas in it.
  • Add boiled basmati rice, cumin powder, garam masala and salt in it. Give it a gentle stir so that the rice grains don't break.
  • Finally add lemon juice, stir and garnish with fried and caramelized onions sliced.
  • Serve it hot with boondi raita or vegetable raita.
