Capsicum Raita

Ingredients

  • 1 cup curd or yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds or rai
  • 2 dry chilies
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder or jeera
  • 1 small capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp oil for tempering

Step 1 of 6

Firstly, take yogurt in a bowl and whisk it well till there are no lumps.

Secondly, heat 1 tsp oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds and dry chilies.

Step 3 of 6

Once the mustard seeds start to crackle, add finely chopped onions and capsicum in it.

Step 4 of 6

Now cook till onions and capsicums are tender, add salt and cumin or jeera powder and mix well.

Step 5 of 6

Switch off the flame and remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for 3-4 minutes.

Step 6 of 6

Finally, add the capsicum in the yogurt and chill it.
