Wash the rice grains with water and soak it in water for 10 minutes.

Take a heavy bottom pan and pour milk in the pan.

Heat the pan and let the milk come to a single boil.

Now add the rice grains and stir it well.
Step 5 of 8
Let the rice get cooked in the milk on a low flame.
Step 6 of 8
Keep stirring in between so that the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Step 7 of 8
Rice will take approximately 35-40 minutes to cook.
Step 8 of 8
Now add the sugar and cardamom powder and stir well and let it cook for again 10-12 minutes till the milk becomes creamy and thick.
