Fresh salad with Za’atar rubbed bread croutons

Ingredients (1/2)

  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup Boiled sweet corns
  • 1 A handful of Torn Lettuce
  • 1 A handful of cherry tomatoes cut into halves
  • 1 A handful of Fresh torn Parsley
  • 1 A handful of Fresh torn Basil
  • 1 cup Eggless Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin Olive oil
  • 4-5 Coves of finely chopped Garlic
  • 2 tsp Dry herbs
  • 1 Salt as per taste

Ingredients (2/2)

  • 4-5 Slices of brown or white bread
  • 1 tsp Za'atar spice
  • 2 tsp Extra virgin Olive oil

Step 1 of 8

Mix all the vegetables and salad leaves and keep it aside in a bowl and let it chill in the refrigerator for an hour.

For bread croutons cut the bread into very small cubes and drizzle olive oil on it.

Add Za’atar spice mix and rub it well with the small bread pieces.

Now heat a non-stick pan and gently put the bread croutons on the pan and drizzle some more olive oil and let it roast on low heat for 7-8 minutes till the bread croutons are brown and crispy.

Once they are done keep it aside to cool at room temperature.

Mix all the mentioned ingredients in a bowl and whisk it well.

Remove the salad bowl from the refrigerator and add the salad dressing and Za’atar rubbed bread croutons and toss it well. Serve it chilled for a nice appetizer.
