Japanese Yasai Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long pieces of French beans
  • 1 cup long pieces of red bell pepper
  • 1 cup long pieces of onion
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt as required
  • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

Step 1 of 7

Boil the French beans in salted water. When cooked, drain off the water and pour cold water over them to retain their color.

Step 2 of 7

Saute onions and red bell pepper in olive oil for 4-5 minutes and mix the French beans in it.

Step 3 of 7

Roast the sesame seeds on a low flame. Grind them coarsely in a mortar and a pestle. Grinding gives a good aroma.

Step 4 of 7

Add the soya sauce, salt, and sugar and mix well.

Step 5 of 7

Mix the sauce evenly with the vegetables.

Step 6 of 7

Transfer the salad onto a serving bowl.

Step 7 of 7

Have it warm or at room temperature.
