Strawberry Oats Crumble

Ingredients

  • Fruit Filling:
  • 250 grams Strawberries
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cornflour
  • For the Crumble Topping:
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats / Instant Oats
  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 2 tbsp Organic Jaggery
  • 1/2 cup siced Almonds
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • a pinch of Salt

Step 1 of 4

Firstly, preheat the oven to 180 C for 20 minutes.  Hull the strawberries and chop them into small chunks. Combine the brown sugar, strawberries and cornflour, stir and set it aside.

Step 2 of 4

In a small bowl, combine oats, flour, jaggery, almonds, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in olive oil with a fork to make a crumbly mixture.

Step 3 of 4

Take a baking dish, and place strawberry filling at the bottom and sprinkle the crumble mixture over the top. Bake it in a pre-heated oven for about 40 minutes till it turns golden brown.

Step 4 of 4

Let the crumble cool down at room temperature for 10 minutes and serve it with fresh strawberries or ice cream.
