Peel the turnips in thick and round slices.

Rub it with salt and store for 3-4 hours.

Then mix the sugar and the spices together.

Ground the dates with a small amount of vinegar.
Step 5 of 8
Heat 1 tsp mustard oil in a pan and fry the ground garlic until it turns brown and then add the turnips.
Step 6 of 8
Once it becomes dry…add vinegar..the remaining mustard oil..mixed sugar…spices and dates.

Remove from the pan and transfer it in an airtight jar.
Step 8 of 8
Keep it out for 24 hours and then it is ready to use.
