Thandai - Holi Special

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Almond:
  • 2 tbsp Cashew :
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds:
  • 2 tbsp. Melon seeds:
  • 2 tbsp. Fennel seeds:
  • 6-7 Cardamom:
  • 7-8 Black pepper:
  • 6 tbsp Sugar:
  • :3/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 tsp Saffron essence: or
  • 1 tbsp Saffron:

Step 1 of 8

Boil milk add sugar and allow to dissolve.

Step 2 of 8

Once the sugar gets dissolved. Turn off the flame and allow to cool.

Step 3 of 8

Meanwhile, peel almonds and place them in a bowl.

Step 4 of 8

To this bowl, add drained melon seeds, poppy seeds, cashew nuts, fennel seeds, peppers, and cardamom.

Step 5 of 8

Grind all these to a fine smooth paste.

Step 6 of 8

Add 1/4 cup water and grind further to smooth paste.

Step 7 of 8

Strain the mix through the fine strainer or cheesecloth.

Step 8 of 8

Return the left over ground paste to the blender with the rest of the water.
