Wholewheat Date Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped dates.

Step 1 of 7

Place softened butter or margarine into a large mixing bowl.

Step 2 of 7

Stir in sugars, beating until well combined.

Step 3 of 7

Add flour, baking soda, salt, and chopped dates, stirring until dough forms.

Step 4 of 7

Refrigerate the dough for 15-20 minutes.

Step 5 of 7

Now Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet or parchment paper.

Step 6 of 7

Roll the cookie dough and cut it into your desired shapes.

Step 7 of 7

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until slightly golden around the edges.
