Recipe of Italian Corn Cheese Crostini

Italian Corn Cheese Crostini is a perfect appetizer that will vanish in no time. Corn Cheese is a classic combination and one cannot go wrong with this combination.  It tastes very delicious and also looks good when served.

  • 1 loaf French bread or Garlic bread loaf cut into ½” thick slices
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp boiled corn
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 3 tbsp softened butter
  • ½ tsp minced garlic – crushed
  • a pinch of salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly crushed pepper
  • ½ cup grated cheese preferably parmesan or mozzarella optional
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 cup freshly torn basil leaves.


  • Heat oil. Now add pizza sauce, saute it for few seconds and add corn, salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook for about 2 mins. Remove from the heat.
  • Prepare garlic butter by mixing softened butter with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Cut French loaf or garlic bread diagonally into ½” thick slices. On each slice spread some garlic butter.
  • Arrange the corn mixture on it. Cover with grated cheese. Spoon a little olive oil or melted butter on top of the cheese and add freshly torn basil leaves.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC/350ºF for 10 minutes or till the base of the bread turns crisp and the cheese melts and, serve it hot.
