Firstly, heat oil in a Kadai and add urad dal and mustard seeds/rai in it.
Let the urad dal turn brown in color and mustard seeds crackle.
Now add curry leaves, dry red chilies, and hing and fry for 20 seconds.
Add boiled chickpeas in the Kadai and mix well.
Also add a piece of jaggery, little water, and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring in between.
Finally, add tamarind extract, mix well, and switch off the flame.
Lastly, add freshly grated coconut and mix everything well.
