Mexican Flour Tortillas

These Flour Tortillas are made with a combination of all-purpose flour and wheat flour. It is a very simple recipe that comes together so quickly.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour | maida
  • ¾ cup wheat flour
  • 3-4 tsp cooking oil
  • salt as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, combine both the flours in a broad vessel and add salt as per taste.
  • Now add 3-4 tsp of cooking oil to the flour.
  • Add enough water and knead the dough till it is soft. Keep the dough aside for 30 minutes before making flour tortillas.
  • Now divide the dough into 20 equal balls and roll each portion into a medium circle using a little plain flour for rolling.
  • Heat a non-stick tawa and place one tortilla at a time.
  • Cook each tortilla till light brown spots appear on both sides.
  • Repeat the same procedure with all the tortillas and consume them as needed.
