Mushroom Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 200 gms Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 Green and Red Bell Pepper/Capsicum thinly sliced
  • a handful of finely chopped green stalks
  • 2 tsp Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • Salt as per taste

Step 1 of 7

Firstly, wash Basmati Rice in running water and soak for 15 minutes.

Step 2 of 7

Take a pot of boiling water, add basmati rice, salt, and 1 tsp of oil into it. Let it cook for 10 minutes till all the grains are well cooked.

Transfer the cooked rice into a colander and remove all the excess water. Allow the rice to cool.

Step 4 of 7

Heat oil in a wok and minced garlic, saute it for 30 seconds and add onion strips and saute for 2 minutes.

Once the onion turns slightly brown, add bell peppers, ginger garlic paste, and mushrooms and let it cook for 5 minutes on a high flame stirring frequently.

Step 6 of 7

Add green stalks of spring onions, vinegar, soy sauce, and tomato ketchup, and salt. Mix it well.

Step 7 of 7

Finally, add the rice and toss everything till mix, let it cook for 3 minutes, and then switch off the flame.
