Sweet Corn Pulao

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of basmati rice cooked
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
  • 1 medium onion sliced into thin strips
  • ½ cup boiled sweetcorns
  • 1 tsp cumin powder/ jeera powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped

Firstly, boil the rice till they are cooked al dente, strain the excess water, and keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, cloves, and minced garlic, and give it a quick stir for a few seconds. Now add onions to it and saute it for 2 minutes till onions change their color.

Add boiled sweetcorn, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, salt to it and mix it well.

Once all the ingredients and spices are mixed well, add boiled rice to it.

Stir everything together and fry for a minute. Do this on a medium flame, else the rice will stick at the bottom of the pan.

Step 7 of 7

Remove the sweet corn pulao from the pan and serve it with boondi or mint raita.
