No other market, then Janpath has more diverse and eclectic options and more ways to satisfy your shopping urge in a memorable way.
With hundreds of options to select from Janpath is definitely a shoppers paradise. It’s a highly promised market from where you can shop on a budget.
Janpath is one of the most famous Delhi street shopping located in Cannaught Place. If you are in Delhi, you just cannot miss visiting this Janpath market. This market sells everything you can think of. Shopping here is bliss as you can easily find everything you can dream of.
This market offers traditional, modern, and quirky stuff at a reasonable rate. From Tibetan to Gujarati, from. Handicrafts to antiques, Clothes to home decor, you will find everything here. The items that are sold here are really unique and eclectic.
I am a shopaholic person and I have done lots of street shopping all over India and abroad. But this market has my heart.
Janpath has a treasure trove of oxidized, junk, and silver jewelry. With beautiful collections, ethnic designs, and hidden gems, you can surely find everything here if you have an eye for it.
I especially loved this market for its silver and junk jewelry. If you want to flaunt any statement neckpiece or earrings, you surely will find such pieces here.
If you are planning to revamp your home or want pretty or antique decor, there are few shops that have beautiful Arabic style lanterns, wall hangings, fancy showpieces, antique and vintage clocks, telephones, and everything you can think of. Well, the tip here is not to show your liking for any particular items and casually ask the rates of the items you liked and move on. The shopkeeper will call you back and ask if you really buy it then there is a scope of bargaining. This is the time you show your real interest and start bargaining, start straight from 50% and they are sure to settle somewhere between 60-70 % of it. Well, if you really liked the stuff don’t be too stubborn and let go of a few bucks and buy it.
Coming to clothes here, I really liked the collection of tops, Kurtis, palazzos, jackets, shrugs here and the quality is better than the ones you find it at Sarojini Nagar. You will find good embroidered tops and Kurtis for just Rs 300 which looks good with good designs and quality. Here you will also find good party kinda off-shoulder tops and dresses. However, they are not reasonable as compared to but are of better quality.
Coming to shoes, jackets, purses, slings this market is bountiful of all the items and you are sure to find it here.
I visited this market when winter was about to go so there were many woolens, winter leather jackets that were available at very reasonable rates. I picked up a few pullovers and shrugs at a very reasonable price.
However, when I had visited this market it was a public holiday so the Gujarati handicrafts and Tibetan stalls were closed. So I am surely going to visit this market again when I get a chance.
