Recipe of Chilled Yogurt Dip with Roasted Garlic and Red Bell Peppers

This creamy and chilled yogurt dip inspired by Lebanese dip “Labneh” is very refreshing and a perfect starter to a great party. It’s super light and healthy.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 200 grams hung yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 5-6 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 1 medium-size red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground pepper powder
  • 1 tsp. oregano powder

Instructions
 

  • Heat the pan and add olive oil in it.
  • Now add chopped garlic red bell pepper.
  • Sauté for 2-3 minutes till they are sweaty but not mushy.
  • Little crunchiness has to be retained.
  • Add salt and oregano and remove mix it and remove it from the flame.
  • Set it aside to cool.
  • Take a bowl and whisk together the hung yogurt, lemon juice, pepper powder, and salt.
  • Drizzle the above mixture on it.
  • Let it cool in the refrigerator for a while before serving.
  • Serve it chilled with falafels or pita bread.

Notes

This dip is a light and healthy appetizer ready in a jiffy.
Also, absolute crowd-pleasing dips and can be prepared well in advance.
Have it with veggies and it can be turned into a pre-meal snack.
