Ingredients

  • 150 grams wheat flour
  • 50 grams all-purpose flour
  • 50 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 150 grams unsalted butter
  • 100 grams powder sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees C and line the cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Sieve the flour with baking powder and baking soda and keep it aside.
  • Cream the butter with the blender till it attains satiny and a creamy texture.
  • Gradually add the sugar and blend till sugar mixes properly.
  • Now add milk and stir in the dry ingredients using a spoon.
  • Make cookie balls with wet hands and roll in oats.
  • Flatten it and place it on a cookie sheet leaving 2 inches gap between cookies.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 10-12 minutes or till it is light brown in color.
  • Once baked let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes.
  • Finally, remove on a wire rack to cool it completely.
  • After the cookies cool down complete you can store it in an airtight container for a week.

Notes:

  • You can increase the quantity of cocoa powder if you like your cookies dark and bitter.
  • I have used unsalted butter; you can use margarine as well.
  • Always preheat the oven first and then start mixing the dough for better results.
  • On another note, you can also deep freeze the cookie dough tied up in a fresh cling wrap and bake it fresh as and when you need it.
  • I usually make the dough in huge quantities and freeze it for 3-4 days and bake one tray at a time and serve fresh and hot cookies to my younger ones.
  • Baking time and temperature vary from oven to oven so please trust your own instincts while baking.
  • The measurements and timings are given as per my oven and my method.
  • Most important thing is that always use fresh ingredients while baking for better results. Happy Baking.
  • I hope this post helps you all to bake yummy, healthy, and delicious cookies.
