Recipe of Chocolate Oat Cookies

Ingredients:

150 grams of wheat flour
50 grams all-purpose flour
50 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
150 grams unsalted butter
100 grams of powder sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 tsp salt

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees C and line the cookie sheets with parchment paper.

2. Sieve the flour with baking powder and baking soda and keep it aside.

3. Cream the butter with the blender till it attains satiny and a creamy texture.

4. Gradually add the sugar and blend till sugar mixes properly.

5. Now add milk and stir in the dry ingredients using a spoon.

6. Make cookie balls with wet hands and roll in oats.

7. Flatten it and place it on a cookie sheet leaving 2 inches gap between cookies.

8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 10-12 minutes or till it is light brown in color.

9. Once baked let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes.

10. Finally, remove on a wire rack to cool it completely.
11. After the cookies cool down complete you can store it in an airtight container for a week.

Notes:

1. You can increase the quantity of cocoa powder if you like your cookies dark and bitter.

2. I have used unsalted butter; you can use margarine as well.

3. Always preheat the oven first and then start mixing the dough for better results.

4. On another note, you can also deep freeze the cookie dough tied up in a fresh cling wrap and bake it fresh as and when you need it.

5. I usually make the dough in huge quantities and freeze it for 3-4 days and bake one tray at a time and serve fresh and hot cookies to my younger ones.

6. Baking time and temperature vary from oven to oven so please trust your own instincts while baking.

7. The measurements and timings are given as per my oven and my method.

8. Most important thing is that always use fresh ingredients while baking for better results. Happy Baking.

9. I hope this post helps you all to bake yummy, healthy, and delicious cookies.
