A chocolate truffle is a type of chocolate confectionery , traditionally made with a chocolate ganache center coated in chocolate, cocoa powder, or chopped toasted nuts (typically hazelnuts , almonds , or coconut ), usually in a spherical, conical, or curved shape.

In a small saucepan, pour the cream in and bring it to the boil.
Remove from heat and add the chocolate.
Stir it continuously until it is all melted and you have a creamy smooth consistency.
Set aside to cool for 2-3 hours.
When cooled and set, cover your hands in icing sugar and roll teaspoon-sized balls. Roll in cocoa powder.
You can roll these in a few different coatings like desiccated coconut, cocoa powder, sprinkles etc.
