Tawa Bread Roll with easy step-by-step pictures is a crispy and delicious snack. This bread roll is served usually as an evening snack along with a hot cup of tea.
Firstly, make the stuffing and keep it ready, for this heat oil in a pan and add green chilies, minced garlic, and onions. Saute it for 2-3 minutes till they are brown.
Now add boiled and mashed potatoes in it, cumin powder, black pepper powder, salt and mix well.
Let this mixture cook for a minute and switch off the flame. Keep this stuffing aside and let it cool down.
Meanwhile, arrange bread slices on a tray and start by cutting the cores.
On the other side make a slurry using cornflour and water and mix well till there are no lumps.
Roll each bread with a rolling pin till the bread slices are thin. Place the above-prepared potato stuffing in the center as shown in the picture below.
Now apply slurry on all 4 sides with the help of a cooking brush or use your fingers for it. Seal all the 4 sides neatly and repeat the same procedure with other bread.
Heat oil in a nonstick Tawa, apply 2 tsp butter and place these bread rolls. Cook them on a medium flame till they are brown and crispy.
Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the bread rolls and serve it hot with tomato ketchup.
