1 cup Curd or Yogurt ½ cup washed and chopped Spinach 1 small finely chopped onion 1 tsp minced garlic ½ tsp Cumin seeds or jeera 2-3 dry red chilies ½ tsp red chili powder 1 tsp Cumin or jeera powder 1 tsp cooking oil Salt as per taste
Firstly, take 1 cup of yogurt in a bowl add salt, red chili powder, cumin powder and whisk it till there are no lumps remaining.
Keep all the ingredients for the raita ready on a plate.
Now heat oil in a small pan, add cumin seeds, dry chilies, onions and garlic in it.
Cook for 2 minutes on a low flame till they turn brown in color.
Add chopped spinach leaves in it and cook for another 1 minute and switch off the flame.
Let it cool for 2-3 minutes before adding it to the yogurt.
