Step-by-Step Recipe of Palak Raita
Ingredients:
1 cup Curd or Yogurt
1/2 cup washed and chopped Spinach
1 small finely chopped onion
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds or jeera
2-3 dry red chilies
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp Cumin or jeera powder
1 tsp cooking oil
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Firstly, take 1 cup of yogurt in a bowl, add salt, red chili powder, Cumin powder, and whisk it till there are no lumps remaining.
2. Keep all the ingredients for the raita ready on a plate.
3. Now heat oil in a small pan, add cumin seeds, dry chilies, onions, and garlic in it.
4. Cook for 2 minutes on a low flame till they turn brown in color.
5. Add chopped spinach leaves to it and cook for another 1 minute and switch off the flame.
6. Let it cool for 2-3 minutes before adding it to the yogurt.
