Bread Halwa | Bread Pudding with Step-by-Step pictures and a detailed recipe. This Bread Halwa recipe is a delicious Indian sweet pudding made with bread slices. The Bread slices are roasted or deep-fried in ghee and further cooked in water or milk to get the desired consistency.
Furthermore, Bread Halwa is enhanced by adding dry fruits roasted in ghee. The recipe is very easy and all you need is 20-25 minutes to prepare this delicacy.
Bread Halwa is a nice variation to the regular halwa and can be cooked during the oncoming Diwali festival. So, do try out this recipe at home.
Moreover, you can prepare Bread Halwa from leftover bread slices. You can either use white bread slices or brown or wheat bread slices for this Bread Pudding. However, I have used water in this recipe as we prefer it that way. It tastes delish and it’s also light on the stomach.
