Ingredients
 
 

  • ¾ cup seedless dates
  • 1 tsp cumin powder | jeera powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili powder
  • 2 tbsp jaggery powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, chop dates into small pieces and boil it in a pressure pan till 2 whistles.
  • Once the pressure releases, open the lid and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Now transfer dates into a mixie jar and blend it till it's smooth like a puree.
  • Strain it through a strainer using the backside of a spoon and discard any residue that comes out.
  • Finally, add jaggery powder, salt, Kashmiri red chili powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and mix everything well till it dissolves.
  • Chill Dates | Khajoor chutney in the refrigerator before serving it.

Step-by-Step Recipe of Khajur Ki Chutney

Recipe Notes

  • Use soft and seedless dates for khajur ki chutney if possible.
  • I prefer boiling the khajur in a pressure pan, however, you can boil it in a pan for 10-15 minutes as well.
  • You can add tamarind pulp to this recipe for Dates Tamarind Chutney.
  • Freeze dates chutney in an air-tight container for future use. It will stay good in the freezer for 2 months.
  • Usually, I prefer making chutney in huge batches and freeze it so that I can use it to make chaats anytime.
  • Serve these dates | khajur chutney with Pani puri, Sev puri, Dahi Ragda puri, samosa, kachori, etc.
