This tea is prepared with fresh ginger that is grated and boiled in water along with tea leaves and further by adding hot milk to it.

This Adrak Wali Chai is very popular in India and we love this tea and it is the first drink that we have in the morning. Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1-2 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tsp tea powder

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, boil one cup of milk and keep it aside.
  • Grate ginger and keep it ready along with sugar and tea powder.
  • Heat 2 cups of water in a pan and add grated ginger to it.
  • Add sugar to the boiling water.
  • Once you see the change in watercolor to slightly yellow, add tea powder tea leaves to it and let the water mixture come to a boil for 3-4 minutes.
  • Finally, add hot milk to that and further boil it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame and strain it with the help of a strainer and serve it hot.

Recipe Notes

  • For making Ginger Tea, use fresh ginger for best taste.
  • I have not added any Tea Masala or cardamom to this tea, however, you may add if you wish to.
  • The quantity of milk can be adjusted as per your preferences. Some may like tea with more milk, whereas few may prefer very little milk in tea.
  • Also if you want a strong tea, add more tea leaves or tea powder to it.
