Garlic Mushrooms | Butter Garlic Mushrooms | Sauteed Mushrooms | Garlic Mushrooms Indian are a versatile and flavourful side dish that pairs so well with your plates of pasta and soups. These earthy, rustic, and delicious Garlic Mushrooms get cooked in a jiffy. It hardly took me 15 minutes in all to put this recipe together.

I have shown a step-by-step recipe with detailed pictures so you get a clear idea of how to make this easy and quick vegetarian side dish.

What ingredients are required for this recipe?

Garlic Mushrooms are very basic vegetarian side dishes that we all relished in our house as I had served as a side dish. In this recipe, we will require the following ingredients:

  • Mushrooms
  • Butter
  • Olive Oil
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Coriander or any other fresh herbs
  • Wine (optional)

How to Caramelize Mushrooms

The key to making this recipe a hit is how well we caramelize the mushrooms. Here are some tips to follow:

  • Use a combination of butter and olive oil.
  • Saute mushrooms on a medium to high flame.
  • Do not stir the mushrooms very often.

Mushrooms are sauteed in butter and olive oil along with finely chopped onions and minced garlic. The earthy flavors in this recipe come from the caramelization of mushrooms. Well, we do not have to cook mushrooms for more than 7-8 minutes as this will spoil the taste.

Finally, once mushrooms are caramelized you can add your choice of greens to them. Here I have added fresh coriander to give that final touch to my super yummy Garlic Mushrooms.
