Step-by-Step Recipe of Grilled Potato Sandwich
1. Firstly, boil the potatoes, peel the skin and mash it nicely till there are no lumps.
2. Now add black pepper powder, cumin/jeera powder, and chili powder to the mashed potatoes.
3. Also add finely chopped chilies, coriander leaves, lemon juice, and salt into the mashed potatoes.
4. Mix all the spices nicely into the mixture till there are no lumps.
5. Take bread slices, apply butter, and then chutney on all the slices.
6. Now place a spoonful of potato mixture onto the bread slices and cover with the other 2 slices to make a sandwich.
7. Heat a grill pan and apply butter on the pan, once the pan is hot grill the sandwiches till brown and crispy.
8. Once it is cooked and crispy from both sides, remove the sandwiches on a plate, cut it into half and serve it with coriander chutney and tomato ketchup.
Recipe Notes:
- For this sandwich, you can also use Brown Bread, Wheat Bread, or Multigrain bread.
- You can also add slices of cucumber, onions, and tomatoes along with potatoes.
- Instead of butter, you can also use olive oil in this recipe.
- If you have a grill sandwich maker or a toaster, use you can use that as well.
Variations:
To this Grilled Potato Sandwich, you can add a cheese slice, grated cheese, or mozzarella cheese for a cheese potato grill sandwich.
For making it healthy, add vegetables like carrots, corn, bell peppers, and so on. You can either chop the vegetables finely or grate carrots and add them to the sandwich.
However, you can also make a simple chutney sandwich and grill it.
