Mie Goreng
(Indonesian Noodles with vegetables)
Mie Goreng is a typical, easy, and must-try noodle dish commonly found along the glorious beaches of Nusa Dusa (Bali). You can alter it by adding your favorite veggies. This simple yet fancy noodle dish is very delicious and impressive. It is well the extra effort for someone special.
Mie Goreng (Indonesian Noodles)
Ingredients
- 600 grams boiled noodles
- 1 tbsp oil
- 50 grams onions shredded
- 50 grams julienned red bell pepper
- 50 grams julienned green bell pepper
- 100 grams chopped pok choy
- 100 grams soaked soya nuggets
- 4 cloves chopped garlic
- 50 grams tomato ketchup
- 10 ml hot chilli sauce
- 10 ml vinegar
- 10 ml soy sauce
- 50 grams brown sugar
- salt as per taste
- Pepper powder
Instructions
- Heat oil in a wok, add the onion, red and green bell peppers,
- pok choy, soya nuggets and stir-fry until soft.
- Add the noodles, salt and pepper into the wok and toss. Then add the
- tomato ketchup, hot chilli sauce, brown sugar ,soy sauce and vinegar and
- toss again. Serve it hot.
