Storage instructions:
Once you have baked this cake, let it cool down on a wire rack for 30 minutes before cutting it. However, if you are impatient like me and can’t wait, switch on the fan and let it cool down and in 10 minutes you can cut into pieces. If you have any leftover cake or you want to save them for further use, then store in an airtight container and refrigerate them. Spread parchment paper inside the box between the cake pieces, so that they do not stick to each other. However, if you want to freeze them, you can either pack each slice in aluminum foil or parchment paper and freeze them. They will stay well till 1 month. So whenever you have sweet tooth cravings, you can remove the cake from the freezer and leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes, and microwave for 30-40 seconds before having it. We often freeze the cake this way and indulge in it. You never know how these may be so handy especially when you have a sudden craving for a dessert while watching Netflix!!

Recipe Notes:
- Parle G Cake tastes mildly sweet, so I have added icing sugar for extra sweetness.
- Use Cold milk in this cake recipe.
- Always do the toothpick check before removing the cake from the oven. If the toothpick comes out clean then your cake is baked properly. If it sticks to the toothpick, then you probably need to bake it further for a few minutes.
- You can also add cashew nuts, walnuts, pecan nuts to this Parle G Cake.
- Serve this cake with cold milk, or just with some chocolate sauce.
