Moreover, Khajur Ki Chutney is served with Dahi Ragda Puri, Dahi Bhel, Bhel Puri, and also more chat dishes like Pani Puri, Sev Puri, SAmosa, and Kachoris.
Khajur Ki Chutney | Dates Chutney
Ingredients
- ¾ cup seedless dates
- 1 tsp cumin powder | jeera powder
- 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili powder
- 2 tbsp jaggery powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- salt as per taste
Instructions
- Firstly, chop dates into small pieces and boil it in a pressure pan till 2 whistles.
- Once the pressure releases, open the lid and let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Now transfer dates into a mixie jar and blend it till it's smooth like a puree.
- Strain it through a strainer using the backside of a spoon and discard any residue that comes out.
- Finally, add jaggery powder, salt, Kashmiri red chili powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and mix everything well till it dissolves.
- Chill Dates | Khajoor chutney in the refrigerator before serving it.

Step-by-Step Recipe of Khajur Ki Chutney

Recipe Notes
- Use soft and seedless dates for khajur ki chutney if possible.
- I prefer boiling the khajur in a pressure pan, however, you can boil it in a pan for 10-15 minutes as well.
- You can add tamarind pulp to this recipe for Dates Tamarind Chutney.
- Freeze dates chutney in an air-tight container for future use. It will stay good in the freezer for 2 months.
- Usually, I prefer making chutney in huge batches and freeze it so that I can use it to make chaats anytime.
- Serve these dates | khajur chutney with Pani puri, Sev puri, Dahi Ragda puri, samosa, kachori, etc.
