Ingredients
- 1 boiled potato finely chopped
- ½ tomato finely chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 cup of boiled white chickpea | white chana
- 2 tbsp Dates Chutney
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Coriander chutney
- ½ tbsp garlic chutney
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp black salt
- salt as per taste
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- For Garnishing
- a handful of finely chopped coriander leaves
- few pomegranate seeds
- ½ cup Nylon Sev
Instructions
- Firstly, soak white chickpeas, chana overnight for 6-7 hours. Next morning, wash chickpeas in running water and boil them in a pressure pan till 5-6 whistles till they are soft. Add salt in chana while boiling. Let the pressure release and once it's cool down, open the lid and strain the chickpeas in a colander and remove all the water. Keep the white chickpeas aside on a plate.
- Now finely chop the boiled potato, tomato, and onion. Add cumin/jeera powder, black salt, chaat masala, Keep it aside.
- Keep all the chutneys and garnishing ready in separate bowls before you start making chana chaat.
- Now take a big bowl and start adding all the ingredients, give it a nice stir. Add all the chutneys, and lemon juice, mix it well. Now add finely chopped coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds, and finally garnish it with nylon sev and serve it immediately.
