Ingredients
- 1 cup Curd or Yogurt
- ½ cup washed and chopped Spinach
- 1 small finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds or jeera
- 2-3 dry red chilies
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp Cumin or jeera powder
- 1 tsp cooking oil
- Salt as per taste
Instructions
- Firstly, take 1 cup of yogurt in a bowl add salt, red chili powder, cumin powder and whisk it till there are no lumps remaining.
- Keep all the ingredients for the raita ready on a plate.
- Now heat oil in a small pan, add cumin seeds, dry chilies, onions and garlic in it.
- Cook for 2 minutes on a low flame till they turn brown in color.
- Add chopped spinach leaves in it and cook for another 1 minute and switch off the flame.
- Let it cool for 2-3 minutes before adding it to the yogurt.
