Talli Turmeric, the name itself is so intriguing and catchy. It highlights on Indian food and serves North Indian, Mughlai and South Indian delicacies. The dishes here are fairly unique and has its own mark. The menu selection is very interesting keeping in mind the taste buds and palette of Indians. They don’t believe in Fusion and simply brings authenticity and flavours of Indian cuisine. Dishes like Banarasi pakoda Chaat, Urugui Idli Vathakal, Vazhaipoo Vada ,Kongunadu Podi dosa attracts ones attention.
The ambience is very classy and royal. The place is big with good seating arrangements, a well equipped bar and lovely music. The staff guys are welcoming and polite.
You are welcomed with a turmeric latte shots as soon as you are on the table and that already sets the mood and raises the bar.
Accompaniments like chutneys, pickles go well with the Indian food and rasam shots are worth the try.
The food we had was really wonderful, the dishes we tried here,
Banarasi Pakoda Chaat
Highly recommend this here.
Urugai Idli Vathakal
Mini podi idlis with chutney, a nice option for idli lovers.
Spicy marinated chunks of shakkarkand that tasted good, but one chunk was too heavy.
Palak ki bhurji
A unique dish that tasted good and was very nicely cooked.
Veggie stew with appam
Stew was creamy and delicious with an empowering coconut flavour. It paired well with the appams.
Pudina lachha Paratha
Crips, flaky and buttery lacha Paratha. Just went so well with palak bhurji.
Soft layers of Paratha that paired well with stew as well as with subzi.
Both were nice. Desserts
Crisp Jalebi with Rabri
Delicious. Crispy and fresh Jalebi dipped in Rabri made us drool.
Double ka meetha
This dessert was a bit of let down.
Overall, we had a great time here, the full score for food, ambience and service and special thanks to Mr Kishan who guided us with our menu.’
