Double ka Meetha and RAY cooking spray GHEE review!!

Double ka Meetha is a Hyderabadi sweet dish with crispbread pieces soaked in sugar syrup and topped with Rabri. It’s delicious and toothsome. In the original recipe you have to fry the bread pieces in ghee, but to be honest the bread absorbs lots of ghee while frying it and so it becomes high in fat and calories. I always avoided making this dish because of that. But when I got to review this Ray cooking spray- Ghee and was asked to create a recipe, I instantly thought of “Double ka Meetha” as I was longing to relish it. With the help of just 10-15 sprays of ghee, I managed to toast my bread crisp without sacrificing on its’ taste. The taste was excellent. I will highly recommend this Ray cooking spray to all my readers and viewers.

Importance of Ghee:

Ghee is essential and the most important part of the Indian kitchen. We can’t think of a single day without using ghee. May it be on Rotis, Khichdi, parathas, or any desi sweets it doesn’t taste good without a dollop of ghee. Always love the humble ghee, but the calories and fat they come with it get little disheartening at times. Indian sweet dishes like halwa, Sheera, Shahi Tukra, double ka Meetha, Ladoos, etc are loaded with ghee. I was looking for some healthier way to relish these sweets without much guilt.

So when I was asked to select this product RAY COOKING SPRAY for review, I instantly picked up GHEE. This ghee is pressed from the wholesome goodness of pure buffalo milk and it enhances the flavors of any dish without any guilt.  Internationally, cooking sprays are commonly used and now their awareness and uses are gaining ground in India as well. It is very helpful for weight watchers, people who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle and at the same time for those who do not want to sacrifice on the taste.

Indeed a healthy and wonderful concept and will also keep a check on the number of calories we intake. A nice revolutionary change in our Indian lifestyle of oils and greasy cooking. A little change can go a long way.
Some vital information based on logistics- Ray cooking spray’s dispensing mechanism enables consumers to use the optimum amount of oil in their cooking. This results in reduced consumption of oil/ghee by approximately 80% as tested and certified by laboratories.
